ENVIRO-KIT™ LISTERIA is a rapid surface sampling and liquid detection system for Listeria monocytogenes. Designed in line with updated EU and UK Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food legislation, it helps food manufacturers, processors, and caterers safeguard against contamination and protect consumers.
The system combines pre-moistened STERISWAB™ surface swabs with liquid, colour-change detection vials. After sampling, swabs are placed into the vial and incubated at 37°C. A clear colour change from straw to black within 24–48 hours indicates the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
This method ensures consistent, reliable results while avoiding culture growth at the point of collection. Samples can also be transferred directly to a laboratory for confirmation and PCR analysis. For accurate, repeatable sampling, ENVIRO-KIT™ LISTERIA can be used with a 100 cm² template supplied in a convenient easy open bag format.

50 x Premoistened Blue Swab with 45mm Breakpoint in a Labelled Tube
Please note: Only the tubed swab enters the sampling area to minimise contamination risk – the medium remains in the lab, keeping both the testing site and the medium sterile and secure.
