Evaluation of SIGMA-VCM™ in the Storage and Transportation of Mycoplasma hominis

Mycoplasma hominis survival was assessed in SIGMA-VCM™ transport medium under different storage temperatures and freeze–thaw conditions over 192 hours. SIGMA-VCM™ consistently maintained higher viability than PBS, with optimal preservation at 4°C and −80°C. Short-term stability was also observed at room temperature, supporting its suitability for delayed clinical transport workflows.
